I have a d16y7 block, how can i tell what head is on car? also i believe it has a a6 intake manifold by comparing it to other pictures, it has a Si tranny with LSD and a pm6 ecu swap as well, its a 88 civic hatch, so im tryin to line out exactly what all it has before i start to do additional work

There's a marking in between the second and third exhaust ports on the head casting- typically "PM3" or something like that. Find that number and then look it up.

Being that is is a d16y7 block which is ODB2, but the PM6 ecu is obd0, I'd assume the intake and head are both from an a6 considering the a6 is intake and head etc.. is OBD0.

so if you think about it it's a d16y7 w/ an a6 head = d16a6

the d16a6 had a head code of PM3, as Cal stated

the d16y7 has a head code of P2F
