HP Pavilion ze4600 issue

got an HP laptop in my posession now
client brought it in

he tried to do a defrag and it froze up or something

no idea what he did but now you hit the power button and the blue "power on led" flashes once, then twice, then nothing

no setup, no boot, no nothing, nada

any ideas?

umm take the battery out, wait a few seconds and pop it back in then turn on? i dunno what else to tell you to do man...

remove battery, plug in AC adapter
if it doesn't boot up there is either an AC power issue, or a board component is bad

i think its the board component, but which one, i have no idea

i just hope i can get into his HD somehow to save his info

anyone know if they make a conversion harness to get a laptop HD to function as a secondary on a laptop?

yeah man just pull the HDD. you can use a regular usb enclosure if you buy a laptop hdd adapter.

we do this at work all the time. damn idiots that drop their laptops.
