Win the Day
1. Cut aid to foreign countries in the short term. I'm sorry but I don't care about starving children in Africa where there are starving children in Chicago.
2. Cut Space funding. Leave budgets for Hubble repair and object collision prevention in tact.
3. Remove welfare from stimulus package. Families who didn't make enough to pay taxes will get a tax rebate under the democrats plan. I'm not short changing a tax payer and giving a portion of his money to someone who didn't pay anything to rebate. end of story. The poor do not need handouts, they need programs to rework them into the working class. It's the old story of "If you give a man a fish he eats for a day, if you teach a man to fish he eats for a lifetime" and it happens to be true.
4. Create a graduated mandatory minimum sentence policy. Get caught forging information to get an apartment: probation. Get caught forging information to fleece a multi billion dollar corporation, impoverishing millions in the process and hurting the US economy: Execution

congress telling biz what do do/pay, bad idea, remember sub-prime. 'make those loans'. govt made demand for sub prime securities by buying them up.
