No, it wasn't night. It's not an active IR. He had that, but for his 35mm camera. This is a filter. It is "better" at night than nothing at all, but it doesn't take night photography.

This is daytime. Yeah, yeah.. I know.. I killed the whole mystique ):

My dad has the filter. I can take some more shots though.

As far as peeking in windows, it doesn't work. This is just a filter, not an active or passive Infrared system (Predator = passive IR, Night Vision = active IR)

You can see in the CRX window that you can't see through the glass. This photo was taken in the daytime.
