injector and fuel pump problem..

    swap a b18a into a eg coupe.. swap was done start it ran like crap due to bad map sensor replace that find that ls trans was garbage. picked up a b16 trans. anywho im running the stock 1.6 vtec harness because everything plugged in besides vtec of coure and the obdo injectors.changed the injector plugs over from the beginging no the damn thing wont run. fuel pump would not run figured maybe relay so i hot wired it then tried to start still nothing so i put a noid light on the injectors turned the key to the on position and the light was very VERY dim. wshen cranking there was nothing i was gettin agravated and kciked the vavle cover as a friend was turning the key on the light lit up bright as shit and the fuel pump came on spraying gas everywhere because i had the return line off checking the pressure.. any ideas?? ground?? bad harness pinched wire in the harness??

    i just did all thats checked to see if they were tight and took them off and cleaned them.. still nothing..

    anyone else have any ideas i just cant figure the damn thing out..

    I would check to see if you have a severed positive wire. It may not be cut all the way through and one or more strands may still be left on there. I would start at your injectors and work back towards the resistor box. also check to see if your positive wires are grounding out.

    thanks for all the help guys.. figured it out. ended up being the main relay under the dash.. new one on me never seen that before. i figured i wouldnt have spark if the relay was bad but i guess so..

    Main relay controls fuel and spark, if it goes you arent going anywhere. Loving the avatar BTW. :thumbsup:

    thats what i thought too. but i had all the spark in the world no fuel.. put a new main in and everything came alive..

    the avitar is alright ohio kinda sucks though..

    yeah. its alright i guess if you catch it on the right day. the weather changes hourly in cincy..

    yeah thats true. you get some of that wicked ass wind storm that came through?? we just got electric back monday afternoon..

    Only the worst of it, I work part time for a tree service, we were busy as hell last week, never lost power at my place though.

    did you get it runing and if it still wont run you do know that you need to run a reistor box with those obd0 injectors

    well it started and ran for about 10 minutes then it started again i drove it and now it wont start and that new main relay is clicking like crazy when i turn the key on... i dont have a resistor box on there didnt think id need one since it ran without it for lil bit anyways. but when i turn the key on the check engine comes on then the relay starts clickin and the light foes out then when it stops clickin it'll come back on. and keeps repeating...should i put a resistor box in or get obd1 injectors and go to a new motor harness without the cut injector wires..

    you either need a reistor box with the obd0 injectors or to put in some obd1 or obd2 high impedance injectors and hope you didnt toast the injector drivers in the ecu
