Intake/Engine question

I was having an idle problem with my jdm b18b eg hatch that I recently bought. Carfrog pointed me in the direction of the fitv(fast idle thermo valve) and said it was on the intake bolted to the bottom of the tb. After searching how to clean it, I found that several others said the same rather its usdm or jdm. What I am trying to figure out is why mine is in a different place. Its still under the tb just not bolted underneath it, its on the side of the intake. No matter where I search it all says its bolted to the bottom of the throttle body. If it helps, the stamping on the head says its a 93. first pic is mine

i think thats the coolant line that's circled. I don't know that they didn't make them without this....

yeah thats the coolant line its in the same place on both the circled pic is one i had just got some where else he was showing where the coolant line was
