I just bought a 89 HB civic and i also have a Prelude 92 donor car with an H22a vtec with 89,xxx miles. Is it worth the cutting and strengthening of the frame to gain this HP jump. The hood has been modified 3 inches high (TDC) where the dohc valve cover sits. i have the tools, the time and the ambition, i just need the correct knowledge. i have done several 5th gen B16 to b18 swaps in CA and in NY and never had any problems. So what do i need and what needs to go on the car? Future Plans: are to just make a summer track/street car. (I just want an "H22 BUBBLE-BACK MONSTER")
