J-spec b18c Type R motor

    hey, i have a ek witha jdm b18c type r motor in it. It has a megan racing header (junk so ive been hearing) and a skunk exhaust on it. It also has a Apex Vtec A/F controller in it. Car needs to be tuned. My question is, is there anyway i could hit 200whp with bolt ons? How much would it cost? What parts?

    Get a hitech header...I've heard really good things about them. They aren't like 900 bucks for no reason.:p Not sure on a good choice for an intake. But a set of cams and some decent valve components (which the type r already has) it should be fairly cheap. I actually saw one with an ebay header and aem intake and dont know what exhasut make 187whp with a tune. So good luck.

    200hp is very doable with a JDM R motor.. as he said above.. get a decent header: ie.. Hytech, SMSP, Rage... , a more aggressive set of cams, and a 3 inch intake: ie... AEM, Injen.. or if you're baller get an ARC box

    so should i try to get rid of my megan racing header? What about the skunk2 exhaust i have on it? I know im getting rid of that nasty 4 1/2 inch muffler. If i put a 1.5 inch tip on my car will it effect the power? Also the stock ecu has been messed with, the car is running hella rich. It has a AEM intake on it also, Along with a Apex A/F Vtec controler (i think). Is there anyway i could keep these mods and still gain my 200whp goal? By the way its a jdm integra type r motor b18c. Belive the motors a 00, or a 01.

    you'll want at least a 2.5in outlet on the exhaust.. as for running rich it probably just has an ebay chip, after you think you're done modifying it you'll want to get a tune or a custom basemap .. you wont make 200hp on the mods you have now..

    well it was done by a reputable shop so i dont think it has a eBay chip. The rev limiter is 9,400 according to the last owner. I know there no way im going to hit 200 FWHP with what i have now, my question is what do i need to work with what i already have to gain my goal?

    here you go.. basically any aftermarket cam is gonna make power over the ITR cams.. i'd go with some Skunk2 pro2s with matching valve springs, retainers.

    send your throttle body to max bore, pay them $100 and they'll bore your throttle body to 65mm.. and if you send them your manifold they can port match it to the throttle body..

    as far as tuning i'd run a chipped p28 and convert to obd1.. have a custom basemap made for your setup..
