I recently put a b18c swap into my 94 civic ex and i did it myself.
I cant believe the difference between the single and dual overhead cams
But I am having a couple of problems:

It wont stay in fifth gear, it is ok in all gears but 5th and reverse doesnt sound healthy not as smooth as it should be. i have tried turning the shifter around but it didnt help. im just not getting enough throw in fifth and reverse. what is wrong?

My carbon fiber hood wont shut either i put my stock hood back on and it only closes when pressed on hard. are their any carbon fiber hoods out there with a little more clearance than the stock hood? this bigger motor sits a little higher than the d16z did in the engine bay. i can see it is higher than the fenders when looking from the side. could it be the hasport mounts? or just that this is a bigger engine and all hoods wont clear it?

if you have any intell on this please let me know

other than these problems I am having a wonderful time with my swap but am still taking it easy untill i get fifth gear figured out

does anyone know what could be my problem what shift linkage should i be using?
i have the gsr shift linkage in right now

Maybe your linkage is bent

ok that could be and it is the gsr shift linkage that i need?

you just need 94-01 integra shift linkage- doesn't necessarily have to be GSR

if you're looking for a set i do have it for sale on ebay :)

which shift linkage would be bent the stationary or the one that does the actual shifting?

or should both be replaced

the one that actualyl does the shifting... the other is just a stablizer.

what type of shifter are you suing? same one as before the swap?

as for the hood- cut it a little bit :D

i am using the integra shifter
i had an apc short throw in before the swap but it didnt have a wide enough base so i couldnt use it
i guess i could try putting a bushing or rubber washers to take up the space
what do you think i should do

how weak will it make my hood after i cut it
and i would hate to cut it and it still not work
as of now im thinking of selling it and trying to find another hood
anyone know of a carbon fiber hood with a little more than stock clerance
