The cheapest thing to do in my opinion would be redo the head gasket, timing belt, tensioner, seals...etc. etc. and boost it.

I love how this car has less mileage than my Integra. I think I need to find a car like this and just cut my losses on the slush.

it depends on the state. i would suggest finding out. i searched for nevada and couldn't find anything. i don't want to spend too much time on it though. i know each state has different swap and emmissions laws.

Ya im not sure about here in the CA, but ive never heard about any problems putting an older engine in as long as it passes emissions.

Technically I don't think it's legal in any state to put in an engine that's older then the chassis. For the majority of states though, you can get away with it because no one is going to take the time to check. Some place like California though? Yeah, you'd probably get busted for it there...

You already have a b18 I would agree with the b16 head though. Why would he wanna even go obd-0? I thought obd-1 was easily tuned as is? Either way don't replace the motor. If you are on a budget just have the head resurfaced and replace the head gasket.

I think he just meant to use an OBD0 B16 because they're cheap...not switch the wiring to OBD0...
