Knocking Noises,Please help!

I have a 96 Integra with many mods-no problems. I have had trhe car for three months and now when I start my car I hear this qucik and abrupt knock noise-almost from the engine. anybody know what the hell it is?

could be valves, or ur running to low of octane if u have raised compression.

tick could be valves...knock..shit check and make sure u arent leaking oil..

when it is at idle, it is between 1 and 2 rpm, which is also different, becasue before it was between 0 and 1. I also accidently hit 7000 rpm(my redline is 6800). It only knocks once when I start the engine. I am going to get it checked out tho.

were all the mods done to your car before you got it? i think you got sold a piecer.
