B hit it on the head. It doesn't matter what speeds it traps as much as 60' times.
Traction is what matters, which is why civics will trap lower, but faster times after you change out the street tires for slicks.
On a sidenote: this is exactly why the NHRA changed the distance for Funny Cars and Top Fuel to 1000 feet. People were just going too fast.
(Many turbine driven car drivers will tell you that 1/4 is just too short to get up to speed.)
Really they only run 1000 feet? I never knew that before.
