ok my friend has a 97 dsm gst conv. he just sold it and yesturday the kid called him and said if he doesnt take the car back and return the money, he will bring him to court because he claims it a lemon. ive driven the car and its not a lemon its just been beat on for about 2 years. it is falling apart. its a dsm, that what they do. but does the kid really have a case? the kid did sign a contract that says he bought it as is.

first off how old is this kid? if hes a minor, he can not sign a contract by law because hes a minor.

second off, if hes of age and he signed a contract that stated in it that hes buying the car in as-is condition, then he (the kid who bought it) is up shit creek without a paddle and your friend is in the clear.

I don't know about where you live, but Oregon has a Buyer's Remorse law that gives the buyer 3 days to demand a refund. After 3 days though, you're boned. If it were a lemon, he'd have to get it mechanically inspected to prove that.
