Lock cylinder

Well, As part of my birthday gift my girlfriend bought me some new lock cylinders to replace the ones currently on my car. How difficult of a task is it to swap those ones in for my old ones? is anybody aware of where i can get a diagram of the door and its components, or do I even need it? Any information or relating past experience is appreciated. thanks
