Long block, short block what?

Okay i have been reading the board . Once in a while i see people talking about long blocks. I have been looking for a filler engine till i can build my own. The block i found for filler is a ZC SOHC VTEC engine. Im being told that this engine is a short block. So whats the diff and how can you tell?

long block is more complete than a short block. same engine n shyt dont be fooled...short block is just block

Which means, you don't want the short block because you probably want a transmission, header, and intake manifold.

Just ask the seller what all comes with the short block. Most likely he's probably selling just the block itself.

short block=actual block(block, pistons, rods, crank, etc.), long block=short block+head
