Long block

Okay I've heard people mention long blocks, and I am wondering, what exactly is a long block and how is it different from any other engine block?


:unsure: and I am sure this is a rather stupid question but I must ask because I have no idea.

Long Block is the entire engine not including the Transsmision
Short Block is just the block from the oil pan to the deck with no head.
