Loose shifter

my tranny was leaking oil would that have caused my shifter to get loose and feel like im stiring soup lol, changed my shifter bushing 1 month ago and it was feeling very tight till i headed to the track yesterday and my axle popped out and tranny fluid went all ova the bottom of my car.

Im thinking your symptoms are not related.

it was fine till yesterday though tats wat doesnt make any sense and i looked at the right side under the car and it was all shine of tranny fluid so im assuming it was tranny fluid all over the bushing.

Fluid on the linkage wouldn't make anything slip, etc. When you move the shifter, is it actually moving the actuator on the transmission?
