I recently bought a 99 si tranny with a bad ring gear ( the one that bolts to the diff), and was wondering what would happen to the gear ratios if i put a ring gear out of a ls in it, i know that a ls has 64 teeth on the ring and b16 has 66, and the counter shafts both have 15 teeth on em. Any ways if any one knows anything about this or has any suggestions let me know. thanks

Installing the B16 will increase your torque to the wheels and hurt your gas mileage on the highway a bit. I could be wrong(never changed gear ratio before) but you will probably have to change the gear that turns the ring gear, also. I know you have to in other differentials(pinion gear;rear ends, RWD) if you are changing the ratio.

Yea thats what i did, Does anyone know what the torque spec is on the nut on the counter shaft?
