LS rods with Type r Pistons

I am building a LS V, and im working on the engine build now. I am getting some oem itr pistons; If i use LS rods i will have to shave them right? and by how much. Also, if i wanted to use say, type r, rods; what kind of difference would they make?, and what will i have to do to them?

ill search later, but if anyone happens to know off hand the stroke of a LS vs a Type r vs a GSR. Would be great.

Yes, you need to machine the rods to accept the type r wrist pins. I'm sure you could find a local machine shop who will do it for cheap. I know of some for sale if you want me to be a middle man.
