ls tranny or gsr tranny in gsr motor

    hi best honda forum;)


    I did some search on this two


    I think that gsr tranny is better all the way but some poeple side that ls tranny is better in high way and other side that ls tranny are same as gsr so what do you say about it


    and one more Q

    can I use type r cams on b18b ?

    or its better to use stage 1

    for daily dive

    you need to do more research.....

    gsr transmission has great gearing, much better than LS. for highway driving a LS does have slightly taller gears for better gas mileage, but the gsr is is not bad. it is the b16 and type r transmissions that have very short gearing, the gsr is in the middle. in my opinion the gsr is the best all around.

    and no you cant use vtec cams in a non vtec motor...

    Depends on what you want/need. If you want good acceleration while maintaining good gas mileage, get a GSR tranny. If you want better acceleration with ok gas mileage, get a B16 or type r tranny.

    or b16 with a ls final or gsr final or a gsr with b16 final :) oh and lsd!
