ls/vtec...how much?

one of my teachers has access to a machine shop and can do a ls/vtec for me for pretty cheap. i have a b18b in my hatch now but what would i all need? b16/b18c head ofcourse but what else? he didnt give me a for sure price but said he'll give me a deal. should i jump on this offer and do the conversion or should i stick to mah original plans and build up my own turbo kit? thanks for the help just lookin for a 13 sec. daily driver. to date:14.7 at 92 mph

do ls vtec turbo..it will be worth it in the long run...my friend ran 12.8 in the QM with just a intake,and shitty tires....so im pretty sure u can do better if u put some effort into it

just the problems with the sleeves not being able to hold up,not able to deliver the sufficient amount of oil to the pistons...etc. what turbo kit did he run? was he on a stock ls bottom end and stock vtec head? thanks

get an short geared tranny first off......and then move from there.
