ls/vtec oil pressure

ive always wanted ls/vtec but everyone i live by says its shitty unless you do it just right because of something with the oil pressure, could anyone explain why this would happen and how to fix it? ide love some ls vtec but i dont wanna fuck everything up.

the ls/vtec is fed by a steel braidedline off the oil pressure switch port. the correct way to do this is to run one line off of the motor from the pressure switch to a 3 way splitter, the attach the pressure switch to one hole and run a linefrom the last hole to the head and mount the splitter to the body. this is done because the splitter tends to break off the motor if attached directly due to high vibrations. there is plenty of sites that tell the rest of the directions. c-speedracing.com seems to be the best ive found.
