Whats up everyone? Ive been embroiled in the seasonal peak of my current occupation, and havent had much time for anything outside of real estate for the past few months.

Ive been thinking lately tho - my busy season is from May-Sept, and outside of these months, I spend a lot of time at a computer with nothing to do. A way to supplement my income would be nice.

Im not looking for any kind of get rich quick scheme. Whatever it is I begin doing will probably lose money or just about break even at first - but if its doable, I can improve and make it profitable. Any advice on what direction I could go? Im not a computer person, but I can sell. Building a website is probably out of the question, as is graphic design or freelance writing. I wouldnt care what I was selling, or if it was through ebay or amazon or whatever.

I have a friend that is a ticket reseller, and another friend that runs some sort of online advertizing scheme via facebook and google (gets paid well, refuses to talk about what he does). Any advice is appreciated.

    Thanks.

Definitely a good idea. My buddy's wife does this. They live in a university town and she finds $100+ jeans and such at thrift stores and resells on eBay.

People are always looking for content and writers. They don't pay well though.. usually $10 an article.
But given your experience in real estate, why not start your own real estate blog? Just talk about what you do, tricks, tips, etc, and throw some ads on it. Or make a PDF and promote that through click bank for $8 or something giveing away some (but not all) tricks of the trade to be a successful rentee in nyc.

    There's options.

This is something I need to start doing. Making money on the side. I have some side jobs needing attention but work always keeps me doing the same thing.

a buddies father did a vending machine route when he got laid off from New Departure in the late 80s as a means to support his family. He was gone 95% of the time, racked up 400,000 miles on his truck in just a few years, and still had a hard time paying his bills.

It might be ok for a couple extra bucks in extra cash, but I think for a full time gig, there's a lot of work and maintence involved, not to mention overheard.

    Couldn't disagree with you more.

I wouldn't buy from anyone though. I'd start from scratch. I know some landscapers that do this for winter cash when their season is dead.

Yeah i mean you get get serious and have over 100 locations and travel to much, but if you can place them smartly and have like 15-20 machines, i bet you can add 10, 15, 20k a year to your income for a small investment

the thing is with some sites is they help you with placement of the machines, which if you are a full tme worker is a huge help...but if you have the time to go out and get your own locations then thats great
