ok, got an IM from skunk2 in my d16y8 and a fuel pressure gauge from b&m. when i rev my engine the gauge shoots up from 37 psi to 41 psi. does anyone know if that's normal... ?

how does the fuel pressure regulator work? does it maintain a set fuel pressure at all rpms? or is it just for maintaining idol pressure? i want to try to tune it so that it'll run a little hot and hit max hp with reliability...does anyone have any recommendations on a the psi i should set on the regulator?
