Chris Angel has a unique illusion for levitation. Even other magicians and illusionists can't figure it out.

I can't believe what I see on the TV. TV hides too many angles for man-made trickery (Cranes and the such). I would love to be someone on the ground, but even that I can't trust. He travels with a group of 100+ crew and cast. There is no reason to believe that anyone in those crowds are "complete strangers". He is an illusionist, after all.

His disappearing acts are great too. But I think that was Copperfield's forte, and I think he's better at it.

David Blaine is a Card specialist. He has many one-of-a-kind tricks that no one else can figure out. Stuff that even makes other pros think it's completely mystical.

I don't believe anybody can levitate. it's just physically impossible. But as for David Blaine, even if it is fake, that shit is sick. Like when he threw the stack of cards on the glass and the one stuck to the other side.

I know how both are done ;-) but won't ruin it for the joy of magic

More than 1 person is necessary to make these tricks happen, and sometimes the support crews are just as talented as the illusionist themselves.

The Dalai Llama can levitate, supposedly. I have yet to see it, but that's one of the identifiers of the Dalai Llama. There are other shinto monks that can walk on rice paper, and that I have seen.

Blaine's levitation is easy - it's classic stuff ( I forgot the name of the technique ) His card stuff is also well rendered and done to the books. The glass one is one that is a mystery, but he won't perform that for other magicians which would suggest it's a real forehead-slapper of a trick.

so pm me and let me know about this levitation...

But what about the new SPOV cam...its a regular cam

i saw a show on A&E where he was playing that pro poker player chick, Evelyn Ng.

she shuffled, She Delt the cards into 2 stacks, he let her chose which pile of 5 to take.... and he still destroyed her hands without him even touching anything 3 hands in a row.

blaines levitation is simple, angels normal levitation is simple, google video even has a vid where he explains how to do it.
angel levitating from one building to the other is unexplained.

they both do some crazy stuff. anyone seen where blaine pulled a girls tooth out? then he spit at her and it was back in her mouth.
or when angel was holding his cat and it disappeared.

Yeah, that one there is a purchase. There are lots of levitation purchases out there. The thing is, He's appeared to float very high, and that building to building thing is neat as hell. Only thing I can think is that's it's 100% act, and all the people are his crew.

ok, so if he used the step up on that one.... how about the video below it, where you are facing him... and there's no leg coming out of his pants, and is going 10 feet up...

By far, the most sig-worthy thing you've ever typed. Had I not this new, totally kick-ass sig I would take that. Please, someone... cut and paste.

i dont beleive what i see on tv, all the people around him could be hired and what you dont see is a crane/winch hanging above him and lifting him up

but the trick where he went under a trash can then ended up on top of the building next to him was pretty bad ass

I actually saw the trash can trick. The moment the can went above his head, he wasn't there. From there, the can went down to the floor and his likeness is on the radio. He's running, running, with crew holding the doors open for him, to the top of the building, where the guy with the radio is. So the guy with the radio holds the crowd while Chris is getting to the roof.

Yeah, the moment the can was above his head, his "clothes" were hung from it, and thus collapsed as they hit the ground. He yelled up from the top of the building and they yanked the clothes out.

His fire trick was really good.
