YouTube - Morgan freeman solves the race problem.
yup... that pretty much sums it up.
I'm going to stop calling you a white man, you are going to stop calling me a black man, and then me and my brothas will all stop calling each other Naggers.
That is a damn fine point.
morgan freeman is one of the smartest men today. or maybe wise is the term.
id love to have a chance to sit and have a chat with him. about anything.
wow, nelson mandela does a great morgan freeman impersonation.
the fact of the matter is, it will never go away. its part of human nature to dislike and fear the unknown, the unfamiliar.
fine example, is i just started working at a school today with a job my friend hooked me up with. instantouesly kids start asking if we were brothers, related, etc... then a couple of 8th graders spouted out "they probably play ping-pong together."
im 26, ive heard it all my life. so i dont really care. i shrug it off or play it off. nothing to get upset about unless it hinders my comfort of self eg escalating to a fight, firing me or watever.
do you guys play ping pong together though?
All the more reasons I like Morgan Freeman as an actor and a human being. Why couldn't we have him as president?
On his racism comments, not as president..
We tried but half the world got killed by an asteroid. Won't make that mistake again.
On a side note, even 10 years makes a difference. One of my good friend's younger sisters (white) who just graduated from high school a year ago was dating a Chinese guy- I asked her what she thought of mixed race couples, and she said that it wasn't a big deal- she and her friends never see race as an issue. Times are changing. Slowly, but they are changing.
Because he's too smart to take the job.
To a point, yes. But race is still alive and well in the you got a perty mouth, dueling banjos south.
you would think that, but i actually see way more interracial couples here than everywhere else.
also, the kkk has a lot more activity in the north than the south.
I agree with him.
I also feel that this whole first black man to do this, first latino to do that, ect... has to stop as well. If we are to try and further ourselves from racism we shouldn't tie in race as part of the accomplishment either. It just gives another reason for race to be included/brought up in the conversation.
We got our first Black president... So did being Black actually fix this shit hole? Evidently not...
