i haven't posted or looked at SH in over a year... where he found my name is beyond me.
I saw you on superhonda.com. I have a major dilemna. I have a 1994 Acura
Integra that is all show but I want it to be show and go. I want to do engine
mods but not to race on the track just so I have a crazy motor. I want to
make Import Tuner which is extrememly hard but I will be persistent. I need a
crazy motor. My car is automatic. First probelm is should I keep it automatic
and do a LS vtec or should I do a swap like a Type R or GSR and make the car
stick. If I go LS Vtec I would go with a B16 or B18C5 head a LS block a new
tranny, and a GSR ECU. If I do the LS VTEC I still want to do a turbo or
supercharger in order to make the big shot magazines you need one or the
other perferably Turbo. If I make my car stick the problem is that I dont
know how to drive stick but it is easy to learn but I dont want to practice
on my car and burn my clutch. I have to get use to my stick. I am worried of
making the car stick and messing up the kit because I will have the need for
speed. I have been disputing this for years should I go stick or not? Will my
motor be respected if it is an automatic? I am really confused on what I
want. I want to make the smart move and I dont really know about motors so I
would not know what to do. Some guy tried to sell me a Mugen motor I didnt
know how valuable it was but someone told me those are $9k but that is too
much. Altogether I want to spend like $2500-$3000 on the motor. That includes
polishing it and painting the valve cover and other engine mods. What are
your suggestions? Any shops in mind? Please respond asap
