motor swap problems

    I resently bought a honda prelude with and engin swap and the guy lied about what car it came out of apparently he didnt know. I went to the honda dealer for help on finding out what car that it came out of and he sent me here. Can some one pls help me it a 94 honda prelude with a h22 vtec in it

    look at the ID plate on the block where the trans bolts to the engine, just to the left of the header, and see what it says. if it says h22a, h22a1, h22a2, etc.

    it says h22a the number under it is 1005893

    that means it's a Japanese engine, anytime there isn't a numeral after the fourth character it means japan. it could be a run of the mill prelude engine, or even a type S 220hp version. but that's besides the point, why do you need to know? are you just looking to buy replacement parts? cause mechanically those motors are all the same. buy parts for any 95 prelude vtec and you'll be fine.

    I'm not sure of what he's asking. I think he's asking if its a Type S. It's hard to tell sometimes. Get some pics of the head and there's some numbers stamped on the exhaust manifold side of the head. You can at least get the year.

    The transmission is the next thing to identify, LSD/Non-LSD, I dont remember where it is on those should be on the front on the edge of the bell housing. Should be something like M2A4

    order parts for either a 92-96 prelude vtec.

    now im having major problems with the lights on the car the guys apparently didnt know what they were doing and i cant figure out whats wrong when i turn the headlights on the cars tail lights come on and the head lights wont come on. and the blinker switch isnt working and when i turn on the hazard lights on they wont blink any help guys

    for the haed lights and blinkers check your fuse box its the best place to start
