And I'm also still dealing with distributor problems but i hope to have that figured out in a couple days

Very nice.. same paint job as my friends coupe! damn he's gonna be pissed lmao

ok, i finally got a new distributor in, this being the sixth one that ive ordered. Four were wrong and one reman that kept giving me a code 8. So i put the new one on and put the timing light on it for the first time in awhile and even at the most retarded position it was still a couple degrees advanced. checked the cam timing and it seemed good. so i took it out for a drive and it was fine until i got on it. i would miss and cut out above 5k and it would then show a code. i checked it and it was a code 9. So with the reman it kept showing code 8 and this one shows code 9. But the odd thing is that once the CEL comes on it will rev smoothly throughout the whole band. Im just kind of lost on why its doing this.

When doing my B16 swap I had so much trouble with the distributor wiring. Code 8 is TDC sensor and code 9 is CYP (cylinder position sensor). I had code 9 forever, turned out my remand dizzy came with fake wire colors and I mixed up the + and - for CYP sensor.

yeah the first one i had always showed 9. the first reman i had showed code 8 only above 4k. Now this one that is supposed to be new throws 8 and 9 around 4-5k. this afternoon i going to try to rewire the dizzy and if that doesn't work ill try another ecu.

well i seem to have the dizzy problem fixed. while waiting to get another ecu i made a wiring harness for the dizzy, made sure all had good connections. now it revs smooth and doesn't throw a cel quite the relief to have this thing figured out

first off, ill try to get up some pics tomorrow and some more updates. ive been busy lately. Second im also getting a good deal on a 97 civic with an h22 tomorrow. Its pretty clean except for the wire job. Its an obd2 motor with an obd1 dizzy and ecu. Somewhere its not allowing spark. so my question then is, should i mess with the wiring and try and get it to work or just get a new harness and obd2 ecu?

quick question. so on the new civic that i got i been slowly getting some of the issues worked out. One things that i havent been able to is the that i cant find a plug for an o2 sensor, there isnt one that is even installed, but i still dont get a check engine light. I put in a different chip with no change. Also does anyone have a diagram of how to wire a sensor up?
