My Da is running like SHITT HELP

which way on a b18a1 do you turn the distribtor to advacnce the timing
When i accelarate my car feels like its being pulled back some one help
i am not sure but i got a distributor and it has a lil coil looking this i dont know if this is the right one for my 91
and its holding back for some reson WHy would this be?

rotate the top of the distributor toward the firewall (counter clockwise) to advance the timing
