Hey everyone well i need some information from all the experience Honda engine swappers.I have a 94 Honda Civic dx 1.5L 16valve looking to swap a V-tech ..My question is will it still be smog legal in California if I put a Vtec in it?Also what model of Vtec would fit in my car?

Yes that should be fine. But, in my opinion, you are better off staying with USDM motors. California is pretty strict....but the rule is (in terms of JDM motors) If the motor was available in your chassis then its okay. technically USDM SOHC VTEC for that year was the D16Z6 motor (and the VX model but lets not go there)

The JDM D15B should be fine b/c its alot like the D16Z6 (but you need to run an Evap Purge Solenoid off the Intake Manifold). I believe it would technically need to be BAR'd
