i found this motor for sale, it says gsr so that would be b18c right? and would it drop in using my existing mounts for my b18a1? and it it worth $500 even though its smoking? and what would the problem most likely be?

Gsr motor!!! Stage 3 skunk2 cams!!!
 
who knows, you would have to pop open the head and check the cams. he could have blown it because he got cams without upgrading the valve train.

you can do a compression test and see whats wrong with the motor.
 
the fact that he needs to get rid of it so fast has me leaning on the stolen side....i could be wrong though
 
possibly... i wanna motor just to play around with and learn the basics of these hondas and slowly build it up to be a beast but i want it to be a b series whatever i get
