Coins circulating without 'In God We Trust' - U.S. Business - MSNBC.com
Like winning the lotto. Dayum
I have two cases of them. unopened, in their dated mint OGP boxes.
And I will not be opening them, ever. They are from the first day of issue
plus, i got two certified first day of issue coins already
and this is not a bad thing.
error coins fetch a HEFTY price tag.
search for 1955 double die pennys and 1878/9 second reverse morgans.
1955 Doubled Die Obverse One Cent
yea, but it also depends on how many errors were released
that the problem, there's no accurate way to tell how many there are....
anyway, these are on ebay for a heftty price tag.
eBay: mint error washington dollar coin /no writing on side (item 290090475776 end time Mar-07-07 14:29:33 PST)
i'im curious to open my sealed boxes right now. i feel like i'm on deal or no deal with 500 and 750 k on the board, and .01 and 1 on the left. lol
eBay: (1) 2007 NEW GEORGE WASHINGTON DOLLAR COIN ERROR SMOOTH (item 290091269343 end time Mar-07-07 15:47:18 PST)
give it 10 years and the coins that say "In God we Trust" will be the minority
not without an act of congress they won't.....
I just bought 600 at the bank, it's inspection time after work
EDIT: I just checked the mint date 12 Feb 2007
i have 500 sitting here on my floor. none are good. they had the same wrapper from phillie as the one on the ebay link.
It says "In God we Trust" on the edge of the coins. Not the face.
Nevermind. Reading owns me
i know. they all suck. oh well, it's not like i'm out anything.
Leave it to the Gov't to miss things up again. They deserve the "ATTABOY award.
The wife said they have about 2k in those dollar coins in the wrappers at her bank. I could hook people up if you cant find 'em elsewhere. $25 a roll + whatever shipping would be. sub $4 for priority mail for certain.
50,000 error coins were put in circulation.
so they won't really be worth that much, maybe many years from now, but not to the extent of other misprinted coins
