New gaming console?

I'm not sure if anyone has seen this yet or not, but Apex unveiled this at CES a few days ago. You can read the specs for yourself here Apex Gaming Console Who knows if it will fly. I do know for a fact that my cheap ass Apex dvd player has performed perfectly and plays everything....DVD+R, DVD-R, VCD, MP3, JPEG, everything. Only thing that sucks with Apex so far are the remotes.

I've never been impressed with Apex's quality... their DVD players are just cheapo crappy DVD-ROMs dropped into a metal box with a tiny controller board behind them. That's it. All they did this time was take an EDEN board and drop it into one of their DVD players with an OS on it. It's really just a set top computer- nothing special.

On the other hand, Apex has carved out a nice market niche for itself, and their players ARE an extremely good value...
