I have a 2000 civic ex (D16Y8) and i found a D16Z6 in a good price but i got a problem now. in the new engine D16Z6 i don't have a place for my crank sensor, knock sensor and the distributor mount is different to my 2000 ex distributor. help please!

You cannot use the D16Z6 harness....its a two piece and the 2000 civic is a one piece.

D16Z6 does not have a knock sensor. I would see if you can splice together the D16Z6 plugs for alternator and crank sensor to the 2000 EX harness.

Sorry you felt you had to put an older motor in your car. If money is an issue....I totally understand. But if you can go another route......do it. Its never a good idea to put an older motor in a car.....as you can see by the wiring issue. Plus the Z6 has less hp than the Y8 and your shell is heavy. I would look for another Y8 motor or a B18C1/B18B1 thats OBD2 and is much more plug and play.
