That's actually the tank design of the majority of high-end vehicles on the road today, practically EVERY car that my shop works on has that type of tank configuration.

Is this really the most efficient way they can come up with?

Efficiency isn't the only thing they're concerned about. There may not be room for it elsewhere, moving it may have adverse effects on the cars handling characteristics, cost more to manufacture or assemble, etc.

at least its big enough that I only need to top off once a week unless I go somewhere special/etc.

FUCK the sti's fuel tank. was large enough to go like 8 feet before it needed to be refilled. No lie, I got gas EVERY DAY when I owned the sti and was working 50 miles away 1 way. under 200 miles a tank.

anyway, back to nsx'es and how none of our poor asses will ever own one :D

Luckily, the JX is still the only Infiniti built here. All the rest are assembled in Japan. But like we said before, it explains a lot.

So the most reliable car in the world was assembled by incompetent drooling monkeys?

I'd like to look into this plant, especially if I do get into robotics where I'm at.

Yes. My cousin just posted a pic of it on his instagram a couple of weeks ago(he was posing next to it along with a Honda jet next to it; he's a Honda Jet employee). They weren't even allowed to touch but he did say some of the higher-ups drove it(not sure if they pushed it or anything).

The car that was sent to Hondajet is a clay mockup with an interior that can be sat in. Those things are super fragile. It definitely doesn't drive.

Which car are you referring to? Different groups will answer that question differently.

I stand corrected. He didn't know if it was for sure a clay mockup(car was roped off except for the pictures) and had only assumed other people were allowed to drive it. Though, there is a working version according to @Acura_Insider and is supposed to hit the track some time in August.

There is a blue prototype running as the pace car at the Honda 200 at Mid Ohio next weekend.
