Looking to pick up a 92-96 civic hatch, new to honda completely. I have a boosted grand am gt. Can anyone lead me to the right place for all info I can learn about these cars? I heard I should do a b18c1 swap with a LS block, than boost. My friend has a 600+ hp civic and he has no problem running 12s trapping 130 spinning.

Being on this forum means you're in the right place. and an LS is a good starting platform. upgrade the bottom end, then turbo, then tune, the vtec head (b16 or gsr), then tune again. If you want to do it in steps that's the best way to go. if you want to do it all at once. then read the post again and skip to the end :).

Does the 6k include the shell?

If not you could get away with anything you wanted. H22 swap (kinda difficult) gsr swap (comparatively easy). If you want NA power without a lot of work GSR is the way to go. Its also something you and a friend can do in a weekend.

But for 6k you could build what i posted above and hit 350-450 with the right parts. probably take closer to 8k to hit the 600whp mark.

It's all up to you and what you're really looking for. 6k can get you a lot in the honda world these days.

dont buy an EG if you dont want it stolen. those things are just giant bullseyes. Get an accord and do an H22 swap if you dont want your shit stolen. no one wants an accord and no one thinks that someone would actually put an H22 in it. IMO an H22 accord is better than an H22 prelude and I've driven both and owned the prelude (before it got stolen).

I generally go to hmotorsonline.com for engines just because they have perfect customer service. some how got the wrong ecu when i ordered my h22 from them, shipped the p73 back and got the p14 two days later. dudes friggin rock.

probably because he told 2315561436 people he has a 600hp civic.

civics only get stolen if you LET them get stolen.

the less people you tell that you've got a ton of money into your car and how much power you're making the better off you are. Granted that some people will be happy for you but others will just think...hey i gotta steal this! But yeah keep it locked and in a garage and don't go bragging to people how much you have invested into it
