I recently bought a 1986 crx HF and just got into an accident. The engine is okay but the front end on the passenger side is toast. I put alot of work and parts into the car and cannot stand the thought of being out of luck. I am trying to find some info on what to look for and what to avoid as far as getting another crx and using mine for parts.

Always check for rust when getting these cars, as they were very rust prone. Most common places for rust would be rear wheel wells, panhard bar, floorboards and sunroof (si's). The hatches also leaked quite a bit on the CRXs so i would check the spare tire area as well. Try avoiding aftermarket sunroofs as much as possible although mine is great.
