Awww.. what a heartfelt racing video. CRX grows up, and gets pushed into the wall.

Edit: Whoa.. 56 megs. Right click, save as - for your own sake.

that wqas a nice vid...he looked pretty fast to be single cam, but oh well, more reason to put a b series in that bitch

If you're hooked on SCCA track events, there aren't many things you can do to the motor... Like swapping. No class to compete in.

Note his stock manifolds and lack of strut tower bar. that's so he can class with the track group. A Hybridded car can't even get out on the track.

-> Steve

Well.. For the most part. What are the SCCA engine swap classes ?

i couldnt get the thing to play did anyone else have that issue

do they not have open or un-restricted classes in the track events????

cause they have allowances for all of that in the different classes of SoloII

I almost cryed in the end. Very sad movie but with a semi happy ending. I would love to see more posts with movies like this so if anyone has any just post em up.

A swapped motor into a Honda (or any other make/model) puts you in SCCA's Prepared class or SM class for auto-x. If you want to race wheel-to-wheel then you'll be in their Production class.

As for not being competetive, that's utter BS. Here is a list of the last 30 years winners in SCCA E-Prepared:

3 guys ?

SoloII definately has classes for swapped cars. But wheel-wheel road racing is pretty specific about what's out there.

'til someone builds a better car, yeah.

John Thomas' Civic wasn't ready & didn't compete in this year's Nationals. He was in a borrowed 260Z trying to retain the longest winning streak in SCCA National's history.
