no power

hey,

i have an 89 DX hatch that does not accelerate when i floor it... the gas pedal is all the way down but the engine revs very, very slowly... any idea what is wrong? is this a problem related to the tranny or the engine? other? oh, the engine is a d15b2 and it is a manual.

Sounds like clutch, its in gear I assume right? If its in gear, the rpms go up and the car does not accelerate or goes takes the car forever to get up to speed like that, it would be my first guess. How many miles are on it?

have you been fumbling anything like the ecu,tps ,map sensors or anything.
