I think the entire situation is funny, I get decent enough mileage on the S14. The only people it really fucks with where I'm living are these damn texas rednecks and soccer moms with there big ass trucks/ SUVs, and that's just funny to me :lol:

I want to see it go up to $4 a gallon so I can see some inbred in a cowboy hat driving an 82 Escort to work :harhar:

But you have to say "I drive an Insight", and I don't think that's something I could handle. :)

16 gal tank huge?!?! ha. accords have 17 gal tanks. also, C4/5/6's get good gas mileage for V8s. hell, C5's with manual transmissions can get up to 29 on the highway.

anyway, 2.15 a gallon? shit, i was paying that in late 2003. gas here is like 240-245 for 93.

I'm paying that for 91. :(

My friend's burban has a 42 gallon main tank, we've never filled the secondary... THATS a big damn gas tank

They are designed to be frugal as hell on the highway, most of the R&D going into them is for state troopers cars and whatnot, who want good highway mileage. A boy of mine has a caprice classic with the LT1 and that bitch gets better highway mileage than my teg.

i think my honda is broke:
16mpg with stock ecu
approx 8mpg with the chipped ecu
[post=481027]Quoted post[/post]

Well your "chipped" ecu is tuned like shit, and chanse are your fuel filter needs to be changed. I would barely get 20ish when I had my d16 on its last few tanks. I did the GSR swap, I got like 15 one tank. I replaced my fuel filter, and I finally saw something higher then 200 on a tank. I have seen as high as 380 on a tank

Man, and I was complaining that my honda with a zc swap got better mileage then my bone stock `98 nissan sentra with the smaller engine in it.

Eh, i average between 32-36 miles to the gallon in my b16crx, but the problem comes from the fact that im getting that on 91 ($2.56). As soon as i get the miata's clutch repaired im gonna park the rex til gas goes down.

Yeah, regular (87) is 2.33/gallon here. Sucks cause 8 out of 10 gas stations in the area are owned by the same company.

5.7 liter v8 444hp 482lbs torque 21mpg....

now thats hard to believe...

C4s do get ridiculous gas mileage from what i have heard, so its probably true
[post=480974]Quoted post[/post]

Yeah C4 Autos have a 2.59 gear ratio for the most part..and also an optional 3.07 wich is still mild...they were built with gas mileage in mind when they were made....else they would been made with 2800 tq converters and 3.73 gears....And i'm getting crappy gas mileage compared to some of other guys on the corvette forums who are getting 28-30 mpg in there C4's
