The VX has seven wires in the o2

1)WHT
2)GRN/WHT
3)BLK (1)
4)YEL/BLK
5)ORN
6)ORN/BLU
7)WHT/BLU
8)--------

B16A(3) has four

1)GRN/WHT
2)WHT
3ORN/BLK
4)YEL/BLK

Ok,now how do I wire these two together to get rid of CEL 41?

that tells where all the O2 sensor wires go for an obd1 4 wire.

i read on honda-tech that the VX sensor is a wideband... anyone want to back that up?

Not exactly what I was looking, but it can help.

About the o2 being wideband, maybe since the motor is pure economy, and wouldn't that maybe help in the emissions?

Here is what I'm working with,

I need to know what wires I need to combine, eliminate, run extra, whatever.

Anyone know?

can you get a 4 wire O2 sensor?

I have a 4 wire o2,it is the VX harness that has the 7 wire plug.So need to color match the four wires and then deal with leftover three. The four should be easy,it's the other ones that I am not sure about.

no-- what he's saying is, but a 4 wire 02 sensor... it will have the right plug... and then just put that in your manifold.

you cannot run a 5wire on a 4 wire system.

My manifold has a four wire o2 sensor in it.

My harness plug for the o2 sensor is the VX seven wire (Cali model has four :( )

Anyway the Civic Helms has a nice chart of teh o2 wires and where they change colors in the cabin and where the pinpoints are for the o2 in the ECU,but I can't find the same in the delsol Helms to match up the B16's o2 to the wires on the VX harness..

the VX should be a 5-wire.. not a 7. im not sure what you have

I'm just going by the Helms,And in it,I don't even see a five wire, just the Cali. four wire and the other seven wire. And since the plug in my car has seven,I am taking that as true.Anyway I'm gonna try and just run the four to the ECU,and move em around till I get em right.unless someone jumps in with some genius idea.

if you have a 4-wire o2 (which you need... you can't use the 5 wire)
simply run it striaght to the ECU, or trace the wires...

O2 Sensor Input - WHT to D14 (needs to be a shielded wire)
Heater Control - BLK to A6
Sensor Ground - GRN to D22
Sensor Voltage - BLK to A25 or B1 (both are 12-volt source)

Lookin' like that's the way, that's the info I need to trace them.Hopefully the colors are the same going from the ECU to the harness.

they probably aren't, cuz you used the vx harness if im not mistaken?

Yip,the harness he gave me with the motor wouldn't plug in to the car, thinking it was an OBD 0,but who knows.I've got the wiring chart for the VX so I can trace which wires are which.Just the delsols manual doesn't have (that I can find) the same wiring trace chart.

holy shit- jokerluv! i haven't seen you post in like a year!
