Obd0 distributor

I am wondering if i can use a non vtec obd0 distributor on a vtec engine. Is there any difference between an obd0 non vtec distributor and a vtec one?

yes there is a difference, it wont fit without fabrication to the mounting holes. it'll sound like its working great, but the ecu will throw a code. it will detect a cyp error.

you can always convert a non-vtec dizzy to a v-tec dizzy

but don't even bother... Just get the right one!!!

yea I put a non vtec ls distributor on a gsr head and had to do the modification but didn't know if it applied to all non vtec obd distributors.
