i have a obd1 b16a and my cel keeps changing between code 21 and 22, they are both codes for the vtec solenoid and its a brand new solenoid, any ideas on why it keeps changing and is it possibly that the screen is just all gunked up and the oil pressure isnt right?
 
prolly, if the motor has a pressure switch see if there is enough oil in the motor
 
There's enough oil but I have heard that if the screen is clogged than vtec doesn't work I just never heard of that throwing the cel on
 
well clean it and see if that helps
 
so i tried cleaning out the screen and the solenoid and i still cant get rid of the cel, for like 5 mins it will be code 22 and then it switched to code 21....im stumped
 
hmmm what other ecu should i try? i have a p30 right now
