obd1 gsr in obd2 lx civic

My friend has a OBD 2 97 Civic Lx, we just got done switching it from auto to manual and droping in a 94 OBD1 GSR engine. What do we need to wire it up, do we have to mod the lx harnes and use a OBD2 gsr distributor. Or can we use the gsr harnes any info would be great.

the lx harness is probably the easier way to go. You would have to mod it a little but but not as much as the GSR. you also need the obd 1 to obd2 conversion harness that goes down by the ECU, I think hasport makes them other wise Hybridgarage.com should have them. USE THE GSR ECU. and good luck

It will run just fine with the conversion harness with the p72. YOu will most likely need to run vtec wires and whatever elce wires that differ between a lx and gsr.
