obd1 to obd2

i have a b18c gsr in my 92 civic hatchback, but im going to trade for a 99 type r motor , my question is the engine harnesses the same? or to i have to swap harnesses the 95 gsr harness to the 99 type r harnes sand throw the 99 harness on the gsr...

the plugs for the distributor, injectors, and alternator are different between OBD-1 and OBD-2

if the 99 ITR engine is USDM then i would just use its harness... it will plug right into your car

(and as for throwing the ITR harness onto the GSR engine... the ITR harness does not have any wiring for the secondary butterflys... so it will require some wiring)
