I have a 90 civic with B16, and Y1 trans.

I am pretty sure that the transaxle is totally destroyed.

I drag race, and autocross with the car, so i am looking for a transaxle with tight gear ratios. What type of B series transmission manufactured for North America do you guys think is the best for me???

this sort of dosent answer your question-- but my last tranny a Y1 tranny i really screwed up too. The spider gear internally came off the shaft and got wedged behind the other spider gear an it pushed it though the tranny casing. I was picking gears and crap up all off the road. I dont think Ill get another one ever(didnt like gearing). But for your question I would get an ITR tranny w LSD. I really liked my friends and really wish I could put one in my integra, but a hydro tranny mount isnt made for the teg(91), but is make for the 88-91 civics.
