I have a 2005 Honda Accord. Check engine light is on. Brought to AutoZone for reading. Got a P2422 code. Evaporative Emission (EVAP) System Vent Shut Valve Close Malfunction. Does anyone know if there is a recall on this of if it is under warranty? What does it mean and would it be easy to repair?

The same thing has happened to me recently! what was your outcome?
Do you remember what triggered you light going on?

I think my light went on because I started the car on a cold night, and within 15 secs a sped up to beat a light and about 15 seconds later the MIL light came on?

I now have to figure out how to fix the problem

Who told you it was under warranty?

I have had my car for 3 yrs and now have 45k on it, Im going to take it in to the dealer also but I will be surprised if its under warranty?

it would be nice not to have to pay for anything this close to xmas!

did your car do anything different when you noticed the light come on?
