I want to powdercoat my header. How does that affect the overall temp while operating? does it conduct or extract heat? does color have anything to do with it?

Krylon? lmao. I don't think even the high temp brake enamel will hold up to the heat off the header for very long.
 
a friend of mine painted the shield that covers the header and he had to redo it like every 45 days or so. and when it was comin to b that time it looked like shit .
 
You can ceramic coat it, but you have limited color options, and it can be kinda pricey, and hard to find someone who can do it. I say get a nicly finished stainless steel header if you are worried about how it looks.
 
my buddy does p/c there are only a few colors that are high temp. silver, black and maybe a few others.
