Im going to swap in a different motor into my civic hatch either a b18a or a b20b i do alot of highway driving so i want one that will get fare gas mileage but still has power im thinking that the gas mileage would be better in the b18 but would sacrifice the mileage if the b20 would make up for it in power what do you think

either one should get over 30 mpg because of the light weight car...

you won't notice a difference between the two. you could get 30+ mpg with a type-r swap. its all about being able to keep your foot out of it. also take into consideration what transmission you'll be using. a gsr trans for example would make your car faster, however leave your car sitting at higher rpms while on the freeway. if you can live with the slightly longer gears of an ls then you will also benefit from the lower rpm while highway driving.
